Vision gives HR software a name

SWCS Consulting saw an opportunity to develop human resources software as a byproduct of its corporate IT consulting services. The potential was real, but at the same time the competition was tough and included giants such as Microsoft and Cisco. Vision developed a David and Goliath approach which put a human face on a human resources product. Deceptively simple and highly effective creative put first names on the individual software components. “Penny” took care of payroll, while “Joe” oversaw responsibility for the full line of products. It was a big idea delivered by a small budget to contrast with the lack of personality inherent in the big company approach. One that also traded heavily on established one-on-one relationships.
