Vision celebrates a century

Albertans are a proud and forward-thinking lot. Our pride in the past secures and encourages a bold approach to the future. When it came time to develop a creative platform on which to base commemoration of the Province’s first 100 years, Vision saw the opportunity to make the start of a new century as much a part of the celebration as the passing of the old one. Tasked with creating a program and process which would link myriad events over a 16 month period, Vision opted for fun and flexibility over reverence and rigidity. While powerful and unmistakable, the approach we developed also invited involvement on the part of stakeholders. Our efforts earned the attention of the Smithsonian Folklife Festival and an invitation to participate in their annual celebration.
